Matt Moon

As an ethnomusicologist, Matt has studied and immersed himself in the music of various cultures around the world for nearly 30 years. He has been the host of Global Rhythm Radio on KXCI-FM since 1996, and has studied tabla with Pandit Sharda Sahai and Dhani Ram Mishra of the Benares gharana. He is devoted to Bhakti Yoga and helping others connect with the Divine through music and mantras. Matt provides rhythms for the Infinite Compassion Orchestra, and has played with Raghunath, Girish, Vaiyasaki Das, Joss Jaffe, Salvador Duran, and others. Matt is also a member of the Öngtupqa Trio with traditional Hopi vocalist Clark Tenakhongva and flute maestro Gary Stroutsos.
